Guys, we’ve made it to the end of this year! It hasn’t been an easy one for me, but it’s been incredibly insightful. Many - and I mean MANY - lessons from the universe to swallow. But somehow, it all feels peaceful. December always feels like a time for reflection. Spotify Wrapped sums up your year in music, Tesco Clubcard highlights your most popular shopping - reminding us to take stock of ourselves and what truly matters. But for me, December isn’t just an ending; it’s like in tarot - a new beginning. We’re going into the next year with the Fool card: literally zero. A chance to start from scratch, reinvent yourself, or continue building what you’re already doing - but with a fresh mindset.
This year I have two Christmas trees: one traditional and one tropical. I haven’t had a proper Christmas tree in forever. Christmas just never felt the same with my mum being sick… but now I’m slowly learning to love the magic of Christmas all over again. And yes - I’m going for colourful lights too.
After years of minimalistic trees, it feels like the right moment to bring those childhood memories back. The more chaotic, the better. The tropical tree is basically my oversized everyday artificial plant with some extra lights thrown on - chic, modern, a little edgy. The traditional one, though, feels warm, homely, and joyful. Both are in my living room, and honestly… they represent two sides of me: the fashionista and the mother.
With my Moon in Libra and Venus in Taurus, I naturally love beauty, luxury, and all things aesthetically pleasing. But my Pisces Sun is the homebody side of me - the part that wants to bake cookies, take care of everyone, and have a little cry… happy tears, of course.
Literally anything can become a Christmas tree. In the past, I’d grab a few branches, throw on some lights and bows, and voilà - a Christmas tree. You can do it with your plants, a table lamp, curtains, or even a window… the possibilities are endless.
What really matters is the feeling - that warm, cozy magical sensation, when you see twinkling lights sparkling at you like little stars. This cozy feeling is childhood, innocence, safety - your parents and your first home. That’s why everyone loves Christmas so much: because it teleports us back to that fuzzy feeling in our stomach, the one that reminds us we are important, taken care of, and loved.
